The Process

• Chat

  We start off with an in-depth chat about your project, your ideal final product and who you want to share it with. Getting to know more about your project will help us be more accurate when estimating a quote and designing the best possible film/animation that will reach your desired audience.

• Script

  The script is the most important part of the preproduction stage. We work closely with you to make sure that script is not just scientifically correct, but also has the right tone/ suitable language for your chosen audience.

• Storyboard

  Once the script is signed off we make a storyboard (a visual plan for the animation). A storyboard is like a comic strip that uses sketches to show what will happen in each shot of a film. A storyboard is the place where the big visual decisions get made and we work with you to make sure that everything we depict is accurate and tells the right story.

• Design

  It’s important to get the right design for your video. We have lots of different styles for all tastes and budgets. Vector animation is a cost-effective style with a smooth, professional look. Paper animation is more expensive but it will make your project stand out with its beautiful, unique textures and is perfect for telling stories about the natural world.

• Production

  Animation time! With the script, storyboard and design style signed off, we begin the animation process and start bringing your story to life. When the animation is complete we add the final flourishes like titles, logos and subtitles/captions for your video to be ready to share with the world.
