Empower your participants to tell their own stories, in their own voices and visual styles
Coproduction workshops are individually tailored to the needs of each project, with outcomes ranging from animated shorts crafted entirely by participants, to visual artworks and narratives developed for later animation.
Workshops can range from being a one-day to a multi-day course. Each workshop can be customised for all ages, group sizes and abilities.

This music video brings to life Ayahuasca-induced visions of powerful anacondas, women shamans, and hopeful futures for Shipibo youth. The music is written and performed by Shipibo rapper Mike Romayna and music producer Jimy Marquez, with illustrations by Shipibo painter Darwin Linares Garcia. All paintings and story were produced in the workshop and the film was then animated professionally.
Made by the community of Estirón, this Matses tale tells of a time before the Matses had boats and would cross the river on the back of a giant anaconda. It was made in a two-week workshop set in a remote village in the Amazon rainforest with no electricity or phone signal and involved the entire village in the film-making process. Made as part of the Mitos Animados project based at the university of Bristol.
Sophie has an exceptional talent for engaging young people in animation co-production. Her workshops empower participants to share their experiences, explore sensitive topics through animation-making, and develop skills to create their own films. Many of her participants—from the Amazon to Cornwall—have gone on to produce their own animations and even secure funding to continue making films.
